HUMID VIVARIUM
A Living Landscape in Constant Growth.
Layered tropical planting, living moss and natural hardscape composed within a humid terrestrial environment.
WHAT IS A VIVARIUM?
A PaluVurse Humid Vivarium transforms a contained environment into a layered terrestrial landscape of foliage, moss, stone and natural wood.
Â
Each Standard composition is planted by PaluVurse using approved humid species selected according to compatibility, specimen quality, mature size, availability and the final design.

The result is a lush living composition designed to evolve naturally over time.

Signature Composition

LAYERED PLANTING
Flora Composition
Approved humid species are composed according to form, scale, texture, mature growth and compatibility within the environment.
LIVING MOSS
Botanical Texture
Living moss is integrated across suitable surfaces to soften the landscape and reinforce its humid terrestrial character.
NATURAL HARDSCAPE
Structural Depth
Stone, cork bark and prepared natural wood create structure, elevation, depth and planting opportunities within the composition.
HUMID MICROCLIMATE
Environmental Balance
Moisture, lighting, airflow and growing conditions are balanced around the needs of the planted environment.
Terrestrial ecosystem. No standing-water feature.
HUMID ECOSYSTEM CARE
01
routine MONITORING
Observe plant health, moisture levels, humidity, lighting and glass condition as part of regular care.
02
PLANT MAINTENANCE
Plants may require periodic trimming, moisture adjustments and minor repositioning as the landscape matures and growth patterns develop.
03
care guidance
PaluVurse provides care guidance to help maintain appropriate humidity, planting conditions and the long-term development of the ecosystem.
A Humid Vivarium thrives with consistent moisture, appropriate lighting and regular observation. As the landscape matures, periodic trimming and small care adjustments help maintain a balanced and healthy composition.
A humid vivarium is a dynamic living system. With careful environmental balance, it becomes a richer and more naturally immersive piece of living art.

VIVARIUM FAQs
Do vivariums require maintenance?
Yes. Humid Vivariums require regular care including observation of plant growth, moisture and humidity, occasional trimming, glass cleaning and routine visual checks. Care frequency varies as the living composition develops.
Is there water inside a vivarium?
A Standard PaluVurse Humid Vivarium is a humid terrestrial ecosystem. It does not include a standing-water zone, aquatic section or waterfall. Humidity and moisture are maintained without creating a permanent body of water.
Are plants included?
Yes. Every Standard Humid Vivarium includes live plants selected by PaluVurse according to compatibility, mature scale, specimen quality, availability and the final composition.
Can animals be added?
Some Medium and Large Vivariums may be suitable as animal-ready habitats for compatible species, subject to enclosure dimensions, ventilation, humidity, temperature and the animal’s specific environmental requirements. Compatibility must be reviewed before the habitat is approved for a particular species. Animals are not automatically included with the ecosystem.
Do you use Quebec or Canadian materials?
Whenever practical, PaluVurse aims to source suitable plants, stone, wood and other materials from Quebec and Canadian suppliers while maintaining the quality and compatibility required for the project.
Is a vivarium easier than a paludarium?
Typically, yes. A Standard Humid Vivarium does not contain the integrated water zone and water-circulation system found in a Paludarium, making the aquatic portion of care less complex. It still requires regular attention to humidity, plant health and the growing environment.
